Santa Spreads Cheer in Delhi Slum

All of us at FORCE decided to make the Christmas day special for the kids living in one of the slums that are part of our Swatch Delhi, Swasth Delhi campaign. It was a heart warming experience!

Strongly recommended to all those who want to enjoy the true spirit of the festival.

Hi! Very nice intitiative to spread Christmas cheer to one and all.
Here are a few of my thoughts and suggestions.THese are in o way meant to be criticizing what you are doing. IT is rare to have people to put in an effort to do things like these and any event required planning and funds. My comments are only to maybe add some ideas to your own. WIshing your team a ery freuitful NEw year!

    - I was wondering if more people could have got involved. Such as chilren from affluent schools who could have donated their old toys and books in good condition for distribution or even donated money to give out small rs.10 boxes of crayons along with the sweets. A group of kids from a school or college could also have been roped in to come with a guitar and have a sing along. These dont cost money but add something more to the event

-Another thing that came to mind when seeing the children making a grab for the sweets is the opportunity that this event presented to teach them to get into queue for things and say thank you or shukriya and wish Santa a happy new year rather than sing jstu jingle bells which they dont know much about.

THey could also have been sat down and told the story of CHristmas in simple terms.

These are just a few things that came to my mind. My appreciation once again for your efforts.

    Warm regards,
    Smita
