- Water and Sanitation solutions for the urban poor: FORCE, in partnership with WaterAid International, is working on a program called ‘Swatcch Delhi, Swasth Delhi’. This three year project is aimed at
providing innovative, sustainable water and sanitation solutions for the urban poor especially slum dwellers and those in poor unauthorized settlements.
- We have given Sustainable water solutions for an Air Force Station as a part of a DRDO sponsored project. This project studied the Water Management requirement for creating sustainable self sufficiency the Air Force Station and designed a Road Map For Creating Water Security For The Same’. The project was appreciated and has encouraged other Air Force Stations to also consider doing the same in their areas.
- Revival of Water Bodies: Roshanara Bagh is a 57 acre Heritage park inNorth Delhi. In the centre of the park is a lake which has been dry for several years now. As a part of Recharge 2010, FORCE designed the Roshanara Lake Revival plan. Using almost 1000 m of conduit pipes and 100 filtration pits, the plan harvests rainwater from the park and surrounding catchment areas to put approx 2.75 crore litres of rainwater in the lake every year.
